Hospital Management: the Simulation - Call for candidates

The "Improving Efficiency in Cancer Care: 2020-2021" project has been developed by SPCC (Sharing Progress in Cancer Care) in collaboration with All.Can and SDA Bocconi School of Management.
The scope of the project is to develop a collaborative research and educational project targeted at heads of clinics and healthcare professionals on cancer care efficiency.

The project objectives are the following:
1. To build an international curriculum developed thanks to the organization of a series of educational webinars (started in December 2020) on “Spotlights on Improving Efficiency in Cancer Care”. The webinars are dedicated to the development of efficiency projects in different geographical areas in the world, leveraging previous contents by All.Can, ESO and SPCC

2. To develop a review paper on methodologies to evaluate outcomes in the field of cancer care efficiency. The efficiency concept will be considered and measured from a systemic, population and individual health perspective. It will be built on previous research work conducted by IHE (The Swedish Institute for Health Economics) and All.Can.

3. To select three ongoing programmes with a focus on efficiency in cancer care (e.g. PROCHE) and scale those up in the clinics.

4. To assess the impact of selected projects and align them with the All.Can efficiency definition metrics and inform with updates.

5. To engage with external stakeholders and policy makers on evidence-based recommendations resulting from the paper.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

• High-level managers of hospitals or clinics

• Physicians with managerial role

• HCPs with managerial role

• High-level representatives of patient organisations
  
  

EXAMPLE OF IDEAL FUNCTIONS IN THE FIELD OF CANCER:

• Hospital or cancer center high-level administrator (e.g., Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director)

• Medical department or division director or vice-director

• Hospice care director

• Health services manager (regional or national level)

• Director or board member of health advocacy NGO

• Social welfare or insurance high-level administrator
   

Admittance to the hospital simulation is by competitive application. Only 20 selected participants will be admitted to the simulation.
Full participation is compulsory throughout the programme for all participants.
The programme will be entirely in English and fluency in English is necessary for admission.
